Working from home I can offer a safe, private, confidential and non-judgemental space to discuss any challenging areas in your life. I aim to create an environment for that enables you to feel comfortable and an opportunity to gain mutual trust. I appreciate that, for some, venturing out may be difficult and I am also able and willing to meet your needs and counsel you at home if preferred.
My approach is systemic, which means recognising that we are always part of a wider group and that everything in our social lives is connected through our relationships and how we communicate with others.
My long term goal is to become a family therapist and I have completed my second year as a post grad student in Systemic Practice and Psychotherapy at the Family Institute based in Pontypridd. As a result I can offer individual therapy and couples counselling (e.g. married couples, mother and daughter etc).
Additionally, as a practitioner of Mindfulness I can integrate this into the counselling session if I think it will be beneficial by introducing meditation practices.
Sessions last for 55 minutes and the number of sessions you require will be dependent on how you progress each time. Our first meeting is a consultation assessment and allows us to find out more about each other and decide if we are each other’s “best fit”.
